A senior federal immigration official overseeing enforcement operations in Minneapolis has been removed from his role following two fatal shootings involving federal agents, according to multiple media reports.
Gregory Bovino, a US Border Patrol commander dubbed “commander at large” under President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, was pulled from the city after the deaths of activists Renee Good and Alex Pretti during recent raids that triggered widespread protests.
Reuters reported Bovino will return to his previous post leading the Border Patrol’s El Centro sector on the US–Mexico border, as the White House moves to contain the political fallout. Trump has announced that border policy chief Tom Homan will now take direct oversight of immigration enforcement in Minneapolis, signalling a reset of leadership amid mounting criticism.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey confirmed that some federal agents would begin leaving the city, while stopping short of naming Bovino. US media outlets reported Trump was dissatisfied with how the situation was handled by Bovino and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, particularly following public statements defending agents involved in Pretti’s killing.
Video footage circulating online appears to contradict early claims that Pretti posed an immediate lethal threat, intensifying scrutiny of federal actions. The Department of Homeland Security has reportedly restricted Bovino’s access to social media after he clashed publicly with lawmakers, while protests have continued in Minneapolis, resulting in multiple arrests.
Just takes the guns off them and give them toy ones. Safer for everyone.
Why? the n-wiggers and antifa and the jew-ish IUC nurses are all carrying them.
A token gesture; the abuse of the American Citizenry will continue as per the Israeli influences of the IDF training the U.S. Police Forces.
