New web series ‘The Tribute’ to spotlight stories of New Zealanders with Covid jab injuries

The Tribute is set to launch in mid-January 2026, aiming to give a platform to people who were injured by Covid-19 vaccines and to families who lost loved ones following vaccination.

The bi-weekly series has released an introductory teaser ahead of its debut and is positioning itself as a national record of personal testimony and unresolved grievances.

Produced by filmmaker Gaylene Barnes, whose previous work includes River of Freedom (2023), and filmed by award-winning cinematographer Mark Lapwood, The Tribute adopts a confessional-style format focused on first-hand accounts. The series features New Zealanders describing sudden and lasting health issues as a result of the COVID mRNA gene therapy (marketed to the public as a ‘vaccine’), as well as the emotional, medical, and social consequences they say followed.

Participants recount experiences ranging from the shock of unexpected health decline to difficulties obtaining medical recognition and support. Other episodes will explore claims of stigma, disputes over informed consent, and testimony from individuals described as whistleblowers within the health system. The series also plans to include commentary from experts alongside personal stories.

The creators describe The Tribute as both a storytelling project and a call for accountability, arguing that documenting these experiences is necessary to prevent similar harm in the future and to rebuild public trust. Viewers are encouraged to subscribe via YouTube or Spotify to be notified when the first episode is released.

The project is also seeking public donations to support ongoing filming, editing, and distribution across multiple platforms, with the stated goal of expanding the series nationwide and ensuring the stories reach a wider audience.
