Researcher raises alarms over lipid nanoparticles used in Covid jabs

A podcast clip circulating online has sparked renewed debate over the safety of lipid nanoparticles used in Covid-19 vaccines, after applied mathematician and immunologist Jessica Rose questioned how pharmaceutical companies resolved long-standing toxicity challenges so quickly.

In a discussion with John Beaudoin on The Last Boomer Podcast, Rose said lipid nanoparticles had been known for years to distribute widely through the body and bioaccumulate in organs such as the ovaries and adrenal glands, citing animal studies using Wistar rats.

She argued this behaviour was already documented well before the pandemic and said researchers had spent nearly two decades attempting to make such delivery systems less toxic. Rose pointed to earlier research and to the RNA drug Onpattro, which uses similar technology to target the liver, as evidence that the biodistribution of lipid nanoparticles was well understood.

She questioned how both Moderna and Pfizer were able to deploy a new “ionizable cationic lipid” in their Covid injections, asking how the toxicity issue appeared to be miraculously solved simultaneously and so rapidly.

The implications of these claims are serious because lipid nanoparticles are central to modern mRNA medicine, not just Covid vaccines. If concerns about biodistribution or long-term toxicity were substantiated, they could affect public confidence in a wide range of current and future RNA-based therapies.

Regulatory agencies and vaccine manufacturers have consistently said the Covid vaccines met safety standards based on “extensive clinical trials” and ongoing monitoring.
