A man attempting to evade arrest was found hiding inside a sofa during a police search in Potton, Bedfordshire.
Officers arrived at the property with a warrant around 7:20 BST and, after an initial search, believed the only thing left in the house was a friendly dog.
However, upon further inspection, they discovered the suspect tucked into the base of a large sofa.
Bedfordshire Police humorously noted that the man would be “more comfortable” spending time in a custody cell rather than squeezed into the sofa.
While the circumstances of the arrest remain undisclosed for operational reasons, officers remarked that this unusual hiding spot was a first in their experience.
