A sharp escalation in regional tensions has seen missile strikes and attacks reported across Israel, Iraq, and parts of the Gulf, with multiple strategic sites coming under fire.
Israel says an Iranian missile struck the southern city of Dimona—home to its closely guarded nuclear facility—marking the fifth such strike within 24 hours. The attack caused significant damage, including the collapse of a three-storey building, and left at least 39 people injured. Iranian media described the strike as retaliation for Israel’s earlier attack on its Natanz nuclear facility.
Beyond Israel, Iran claimed its naval forces destroyed facilities at Al-Minhad base in the United Arab Emirates and the Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait, alleging both were used in operations against Iranian territory. These claims have not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, in Iraq, Victory Base in Baghdad has come under repeated attack, with another explosion reported just hours after a previous strike. While no group has formally claimed responsibility, Iran-backed militias are suspected, having carried out similar attacks in recent days. The base, which houses a US logistical support centre and the Iraqi air force, is considered a critical installation, particularly given its proximity to a prison holding around 5,000 ISIL fighters.
Concerns are mounting over the base’s vulnerability, with reports indicating that the US C-RAM air defence system was either not activated or removed during recent attacks. Iran-aligned groups have vowed to continue targeting the site in a campaign to force the withdrawal of US forces from Baghdad.

Yep. so the Yanks might find others see an opportunity to remove them from the region and maybe go after vassal governments. Interesting times indeed.
