‘Legal trap’: Obama could face a Grand Jury over Flynn case

Obama - Flynn news

Former U.S. President Barack Obama could now be compelled to testify before a grand jury regarding his involvement in the FBI’s handling of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, according to a viral claim by journalist John Solomon circulating on social media.

Solomon asserts that while Obama enjoys immunity from prosecution for actions taken during his presidency, he would be legally required to testify truthfully as a private citizen—and could lose that immunity if he lies under oath.

The scenario, described by some commentators as a “legal trap,” stems from a January 5, 2017, Oval Office meeting—attended by Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden, FBI Director James Comey, and others—during which the FBI had reportedly just cleared Flynn of wrongdoing. The same meeting, according to critics, included discussions about how to continue investigating Flynn, ultimately leading to an interview that resulted in Flynn being charged with lying to federal investigators.

Solomon said legal experts and White House insiders are drawing parallels between the alleged tactics used against Flynn and the potential legal jeopardy Obama could now face if brought before a grand jury. The situation has been dubbed a “boomerang” by some online, suggesting that efforts to prosecute Trump-era officials may now be circling back toward figures from the Obama administration.

  1. “Obama enjoys immunity from prosecution for actions taken during his presidency.”
That bit of corporate legalize needs to overruled.

  2. Yeah right, this is all spectacle for the sheep, who “hopefully” have had their tadpole short term memory, rinsed clean of any consideration, of the Epstein client list and the remote possibility, of a proper criminal investigation.
