Plunket takes full ownership of ‘The Platform’

Sean Plunket has become the sole owner and director of The Platform after purchasing Wayne Wright jnr’s 75% stake, ending the Wright family’s four-year involvement in the online radio station.

Wright, who described the venture to legacy media (paywalled) as a “great ride” but ultimately a high-risk, low-yield business, said the decision allows Plunket to seek fresh investment without restrictions.

Plunket praised the Wrights, especially the late Chloe Wright, for their support in launching The Platform as an independent voice in New Zealand media.

Established in 2021, the station is now self-sustaining but faces ongoing challenges in a tough industry, with Plunket signalling plans to expand content and secure new funding.

  1. I listen every day. I love Sean and have always listened to him over the years. He has called me a cooker when I have rung in.

Ultimately he needs to stop calling people cookers, I can understand why some people may have turned off. I don’t really care, sticks and stones. He also needs to stop with his one sided reckons about Israel. He is clearly under pressure by the people who paid for his trip to Israel to promote Zionist views. This is where he and I part ways. It’s clear to most people what Israel are doing and the longer it goes on the more people wake up to it. It’s Genocide. What Israel is doing to the people in Gaza is disgraceful. Israel is only in existence because of the Balfour declaration- an invention by the Rothschilds in 1947. . It’s not hidden information.

So Sean if you read this, please stop talking about F***g Israel for Pete’s sake.

Stop calling us cookers. We were right about the vaccine and we have ALL the proof to show how everyone was duped. Sean would do well to talk to Michael over this issue, he has a far better take on it. Leah steers well clear.

Michael is excellent, Leah’s show is diverse and interesting. Sean is great and he is clever BUT he needs to stop interrupting people, he needs to calm down and be less bombastic.

We need the platform now more than ever.

Now here’s a few ideas to get more listeners- do cheap corflute election billboard type pop up billboards for current listeners to put up. Catchy phrases, “want free speech in the morning? Get on the Platform” “Tired of left wing media? Get on the platform” are you over work media? Get on the platform”

Anyway I would be lost without the Platform so I hope it stays……

  2. Ego is the culprit here.
For Plunket to admit to learn and then to show courage to change his thinking would mean a new Sean.
Sean, if you read this, this would go well with the ‘new’ ownership.
    Own it.

  3. After denying the victims of the ongoing holocaust ethnic cleansing genocide being conducted by the Jews masquerading as Israel YAHWAH Gods chosen people against the Palestinians their identity and to deny that it is happening I never want to listen to this cuck again
    I’ve been a journalist for 40 years!

  4. Sadly Sean Plunket has less than zero credibility these days.

His astonishingly stupid uninformed ‘cooker’ tirades were simply cretinous and embarrassing.

  5. The sad reality is Sean Plunket is just a stereotypically stupid uninformed kiwi bloke who weirdly thinks he’s a ‘journalist’.

His epitaph will read “Here lies Sean Plunket, a desperately tedious retarded boorish opinionated asshole”.

See ya later Sean, but ideally hopefully not at all, obviously.
