46 year old former Australian international cricketer Andrew Symonds has died in a car accident in Brisbane Saturday night (local time).
Reports state his car rolled off the road outside Townsville.
Symonds, an allrounder, played 26 tests and 198 ODIs for Australia. His test batting average was a highly respectable 40.61.
Andrew Symonds always left us wanting more. We were lucky to witness him for a moment at the height of his powers. A flawed genius, he was slowly drifting back into cricket’s fraternity after years in exile. My heart breaks for his wife and children. Go well Roy. pic.twitter.com/PdrBKuF2LZ

Just weeks ago Andrew Symonds was paying tribute to the late great Shane Warne. Now Roy’s gone too. Unfathomably sad.
