Melbourne Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster has credited a Zoom session with Roosters legend Anthony Minichiello for helping him refine his diet and recovery process as he bounces back from post-season hip surgery.
The 30-year-old, who has shed four kilograms, admitted that poor nutrition had previously hindered his performance and is now focused on maximising his fitness for a strong 2025 campaign.
Encouraged by Storm’s Head of Performance Lachlan Penfold to seek advice from former players, Munster took inspiration from Minichiello’s experience with injury recovery.
Now tracking ahead of schedule, he is set to return in a trial match against the Cowboys on February 23, eyeing a strong start to the season as Storm prepare to maintain their remarkable Round 1 winning streak against the Eels on March 9.
