Three more Norwegian ski jumpers, including Olympic medallists Marius Lindvik and Johann Andre Forfang, have been provisionally suspended for using manipulated jumpsuits to gain an unfair advantage, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) announced.
The governing body has seized all Norwegian jumpsuits from the recent Nordic World Ski Championships for reinspection. Alongside Lindvik and Forfang, Robert Johansson, Robin Pedersen, and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal have also been barred from competing while an investigation is underway.
Three team officials, including head coach Magnus Brevik, were also suspended, with Norwegian Ski Federation officials admitting to knowingly violating regulations.
Brevik and equipment manager Adrian Livelten expressed deep regret, acknowledging that their actions amounted to cheating.
FIS secretary general Michel Vion called the situation “disturbing and disappointing,” vowing a thorough investigation to uphold fairness in the sport.
