Watch: Novak Djokovic explains why freedom of choice means more to him than Grand Slam titles

Serbian tennis great explains to a legacy media BBC interviewer the lengths he is prepared to go to maintain his independence and freedom of choice.

BBC – Are you prepared to forego the chance to be the greatest player that ever picked up a racket, statistically, because you feel so strongly about this jab?

Djokovic – Yes, I do.

BBC – But as this stands, if this means you miss the French Open, is that a price you’d be willing to pay?

Djokovic – Yes, that is a price I am willing to pay.

BBC – And if it means you miss Wimbledon this year, again, that’s a price you are willing to pay?

Djokovic – Yes.

BBC – Why Novak? Why?

Djokovic – Because the principles of decision-making on my body are more important than any title, or anything else.

  1. People like Novak should be running the countries of the world , not the weak puppets that are in power at the moment.
