A former Royal Marine turned child protection activist has spoken out after being charged with abduction despite preventing an alleged sexual assault on an 11-year-old girl in Glasgow.
Alex Cairnie, who was working alongside a team of child predator hunters, confronted 32-year-old Scott Barr in Eaglesham after suspecting him of attempting to abuse the child. Cairnie detained Barr until police arrived, but was later arrested himself and charged with abduction and kidnapping.
The case sparked outrage among supporters, who described the charge as a miscarriage of justice.
Speaking to Urban Scoop reporter Don Keith at the recent Unite the Kingdom protest. Cairnie has since credited independent media coverage of his arrest with helping him avoid prison, telling reporters at a Unite the Kingdom event in London that reporting on his case drew attention to both the protection of vulnerable children and what he described as corrupt authorities.
Carnies eventually pleaded guilty to abduction with multiple other charges being dropped. He was sentenced to 120 hours community work in February.
In case anyone would like to know more about this case and the abhorrent miscarriage of justice: The gentleman who caught the suspected child predator is Alex Cairnie, former Royal Marine.
The “suspect” is Scott Barr age 32
and the child involved was 11 years old.

The UK is totally dysfunctional, Australia appears to want to be as bad, with draconian hate speech laws coming in and it would not surprise me to see new Zealand, go down the same broken path. I would suggest we be vigilant but people keep voting in the same globalists, so I don’t hold out much hope.
Don’t know why he would have called the Police in the first place, he should have just called an ambulance for the guy instead.
A vigilante wouldn’t call the cops. He should sue for defamation.
