In a wide-ranging and highly critical interview on the DarkHorse Podcast, host Bret Weinstein and world-renowned Australian immunologist Dr. Robert Clancy exposed what they describe as the fundamental immunological failure behind COVID-19 “vaccine” policy.
Regarded as Australia’s leading clinical immunologist, Clancy is known for his expertise in mucosal immunology, particularly the relationship between the gut and lung immune systems. He was the founding professor of pathology at the University of Newcastle and served as the first clinical immunologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. Clancy developed an oral vaccine for bronchitis in the 1980s and has been recognised as a fellow of multiple professional medical colleges in Australia.
Clancy explained that injected vaccines were never appropriate for combating respiratory viruses like SARS-CoV-2 because they fail to induce mucosal immunity, the body’s primary defense at the site of infection. Instead, repeated injections have led to immune tolerance, not protection. Studies now show that individuals with multiple mRNA doses are more likely to be reinfected and suffer more severe disease, with Clancy pointing to suppressed antibody responses and disrupted immune regulation via IgG4 upregulation.
Beyond vaccine efficacy, Clancy raised serious concerns over widespread injury linked to the mRNA platform itself. “Most of my patients are vaccine injured”, he said.
“Most of my patients are now vaccine-damaged.”

He warned that the lipid nanoparticles used in these vaccines deliver spike protein–coding RNA indiscriminately to cells throughout the body, potentially triggering autoimmunity and tissue destruction. This immune reaction, he argued, helps explain post-vaccine myocarditis and other long-term pathologies, including brain and heart damage. Clancy said a large portion of his current patients are suffering long-term vaccine-related effects, some lasting years. He also highlighted emerging evidence that the pseudo-uridine used to stabilize the mRNA leads to mistranslation, resulting in unknown, possibly toxic proteins circulating in the blood.
The discussion extended to broader failures in modern medicine. Weinstein and Clancy criticised the suppression of effective early treatments like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, attributing the collapse in scientific integrity to market pressures, bureaucratic control, and systemic censorship. Clancy lamented the fragmentation of the medical profession, the loss of scientific leadership, and the marginalisation of dissenting voices. Both agreed that a thorough reckoning with the errors of the COVID response is essential, not only to restore trust but to prevent future medical disasters driven by similar forces.
