Taliban cut internet in Afghanistan

Internet Afghanistan news

The Taliban has enforced a nationwide internet shutdown in Afghanistan, severing fibre-optic connections and severely disrupting mobile internet and satellite TV.

The blackout, described by monitoring groups as a “total internet blackout,” has paralysed essential services across the country.

International news agencies reported losing contact with their Kabul offices, while local media said flights from Kabul airport were disrupted.

Businesses reliant on internet access, including money exchange operations, have also been heavily affected.

The Taliban has not provided an official explanation but previously suggested an alternative internet route would be established.

  1. There must be a reason for it.
Remember the ” claim” of the US bully to regain access to Afganistan ( military) airport ???

For your own safety use internet only with parcimony. Smart people

    • There is a reason. They have an average IQ of 83.

They’re just doing what every other totalitarian government on this earth is currently trying to do; unplug the internet to silence dissent and the free flow of information.

Only difference is they’re doing it in a very “analogue” way instead of hiding behind fake content “moderation”, BS hate speech laws and pretending “it’s for the children”. They’re either too dumb to cook up an equivalent excuse for their citizens or they flat out don’t care. Probably the latter based on their previous record running the country prior to 2001.

And whether it’s the Orange US bully or Winnie the pooh who ultimately ends up with that airforce base, it’ll depend on whomever the taliban end up surrendering and selling out to first.
