The UK has approved the expanded use of its military bases for United States operations targeting Iranian-linked threats around the Strait of Hormuz, as tensions in the region continue to escalate.

Downing Street confirmed that ministers agreed the US could use British bases for what were described as “defensive operations” aimed at “capabilities being used to attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz,” broadening earlier permissions that were limited to preventing missile threats to British interests or lives.

Officials stressed that the UK would not be “directly involved” in any strikes and that “the principles behind the UK’s approach to the conflict remain the same,” while also calling for “urgent de-escalation and a swift resolution to the war.”

The move comes amid heightened pressure from US President Donald Trump, who criticised NATO allies as “cowards” and said it would be “easy” for them to help secure the vital shipping route, which carries around 20% of global oil supplies.

Iran has warned that allowing US forces to operate from British bases would be viewed as “participation in aggression,” according to its foreign ministry.

  1. Now watch the IRG attack the North Sea oil platforms in retaliation…
The bullshit is just piling-up by the day, much to the delight of the Talmudic Zionists who take gleeful delight in everything they destroy, maim or kill!!!!

  2. Now the UK has effectively joined the war. Pretty stupid, not to mention horribly unethical. Don’t be surprised if Iranian missiles reach your shores.

  3. The UK maintains a significant strategic military presence in the Middle East, centered around key bases in Cyprus, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE. RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus serves as a primary hub for regional air operations, while the UK Naval Support Facility in Bahrain and facilities in Duqm, Oman, support naval operations. These bases are used for regional surveillance, security, and potential strike operations.
They wouldn’t even need to waste a fancy missile.

  4. Ah yep, Keir Starmer up to his usual tricks.

i.e Lying to everyone about everything.

It would be great if Sir Keir could please stick to his usual unholy satanic sodomite activities involving Ukrainian/Eastern European rent boys. Thanks.

    Allegedly.
