Apple has struck a five-year, $750 million deal to broadcast Formula 1 in the United States from 2026, replacing ESPN as rights holder.
The agreement, Apple’s first major foray into live sports broadcasting, will make all F1 sessions and F1 TV content available to Apple TV subscribers at no extra cost.
The deal follows the success of Apple’s Brad Pitt F1 movie, which grossed about $630 million worldwide. F1 chairman Stefano Domenicali said the partnership would help expand the sport’s US reach across Apple platforms, while Apple’s Eddy Cue said the company plans to grow the relationship beyond the initial five-year term.
