The British & Irish Lions delivered a powerful statement ahead of next weekend’s first test against the Wallabies, dismantling the AUNZ Invitational side 48-0 at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
Duhan van der Merwe opened the scoring early, and the Lions’ forward pack took control from there, dominating territory and possession. Fly-half Marcus Smith orchestrated play with composure, while the back row trio, especially Jac Morgan and Jack Conan, proved unstoppable at the breakdown.
Despite the AUNZ side having only recently assembled, the Lions showed no mercy, with Henry Pollock adding a second-half try to complete the rout before their Brisbane showdown.
