Large anti-immigration protest in Dublin passes peacefully despite tensions

Thousands marched in Dublin City Centre on Saturday to protest the Irish government’s immigration policies, concluding at Custom House Quay without major incidents.

Starting at the Garden of Remembrance and moving past a small counter-demonstration outside the GPO, the protest saw heightened tensions but was kept orderly by Gardaí.

Protesters waved Irish flags and some displayed support for Donald Trump.

MMA legend Conor McGregor publicly endorsed the event, emphasising unity and government accountability.

Organiser Councillor Malachy Steenson hailed the demonstration as a major success, urging the government to heed public discontent over rampant illegal immigration.

  1. Yes, we really need police, whose actual job is actual law enforcement, not hypothetical “future crime” on the part of peaceful protesters, at these non threatening events. As for keeping the peace, these creeps are usually the one’s antagonising people and causing trouble. They create the situation that allegedly requires, their odious presence.
