Liverpool crush Tottenham to go four points clear

Liverpool delivered a ruthless 6-3 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points.

Luis Díaz opened the scoring with a header from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross after 23 minutes, and Alexis Mac Allister doubled the lead with another header shortly after.

Despite a brief glimmer of hope for Spurs when James Maddison scored just before halftime, Liverpool quickly reasserted their dominance with Dominik Szoboszlai netting their third in stoppage time.

Mohamed Salah then stole the show in the second half, scoring twice to surpass Liverpool legend Billy Liddell’s goal record and secure his place as the fourth-highest scorer in the club’s history.

Tottenham struggled under the weight of injuries and fatigue, having fielded an unchanged lineup from their midweek Carabao Cup clash.

Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke added consolation goals for Spurs, but the scoreline flattered Ange Postecoglou’s side, who were outclassed throughout.

Liverpool’s commanding display highlighted their attacking prowess, with standout performances from Díaz, Szoboszlai, and Salah. The victory left fans at Anfield buoyant, as belief grows that Liverpool could reclaim the Premier League title this season.
