Trump ‘very disappointed’ with Musk

Trump - Musk news

The US president has reacted to the billionaire’s disapproval of his tax and spending bill.

US President Donald Trump has said he is “very disappointed” with Elon Musk following the tech billionaire’s criticism of his tax and spending bill.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and owner of X, recently stepped down from running the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a body created by Trump in his second term to implement widespread federal spending cuts, saying he will return to focusing on his business ventures.

The tech mogul criticized the legislation, known as the ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’ for increasing the national debt and thus counteracting the objectives of DOGE.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Trump said that Musk – who he claimed knew “everything” about the bill – suddenly had a problem with it “when he found out that we’re going to have to cut the EV mandate, because that’s billions and billions of dollars…”

He went on to say: “And if you saw the statements he made about me … I’m very disappointed in Elon. I’ve helped Elon a lot.”

Musk has stepped up his attacks on Trump’s tax-cut bill, claiming this week it would push the US into “debt slavery” and urging lawmakers to “KILL the BILL.” The House passed the president’s flagship legislation in May, and Trump aims to sign the final version by the Fourth of July, pending Senate approval.

Musk pushed back on Trump’s claim that he knew the bill better than anyone, posting on X that was “False,” and adding he was never shown the legislation.

In a separate post, the billionaire upped the ante by accusing the president of “ingratitude.”

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” he wrote.

The bill, strongly backed by Trump, seeks to make the 2017 tax cuts permanent and introduce further tax reductions, while boosting spending in areas such as defense and border security.

Critics warn it would disproportionately benefit the wealthy and significantly worsen the national debt. A Congressional Budget Office analysis released this week projects the bill would add $2.4 trillion to deficits over the next decade and leave 10.9 million more Americans without health insurance by 2034.

Musk, who had been credited with helping achieve an estimated $175 billion in savings through agency closures and workforce reductions under the DOGE initiative, voiced concern that the bill’s provisions could undo those gains.

      • What I wanna know is, are LEFTISTS going to start demanding the Epstein logs now?

Also, will they start driving Teslas again now that they’ve carved swastikas into all of them? 😆

  1. This so-called “disagreement” between Trump and Musk is a big red herring – a carefully choreographed sham to occupy the media and distract us from real news.

  2. The main point of contention with the big beautiful bill is the issue around raising the debt ceiling, which is borderline farcical at this point given that the US national debt is already more than all the money that’s ever existed, so what’s the point in worrying about it anyway? It’s NEVER going to be paid back. Everyone knows the international bankers will just keep printing fiat out of thin air forever.

When the left are in power, they are a blank cheque machine, pumping out billions a month while no one bats an eye. When Trump is in office though, all of the policy wonks and DC insiders from his own party suddenly want to stand on ceremony about fiscal responsibility and “OMG think of our grandchildren” while deep down they KNOW the entire monetary system is already a collapsing parody. How is anything ever supposed to get done if one side insists on holding itself to “principles” that don’t matter anyway, while the other side cheat and steal and spend money like it’s going out of fashion?

All you need do to understand this issue is look at who else is opposed to the bill: democrats, mainstream media, RINO republicans and the DC insiders. That alone tells you the bill passing would likely be GOOD for the country on a balance of probabilities. Border security, tax cuts, abandoning EV’s and ending the climate change Ponzi scheme are things Trump campaigned on to his voters, this is why he is trying to get it passed. And statements like, “experts say this would only benefit the wealthy🥴” is such a tired, retarded, worn-out 2016 Clinton campaign talking point that it’s not even worth addressing. The experts are WRONG. About everything. Always.

I believe Elon is a good guy deep down, but he’s honestly acting like an idiot. Washington is corrupt, the bills that are passed are loaded with pork, we all know this. But that’s unfortunately how the political cesspool operates, and Trump HAS to follow its precedents. He is bound to it all by three co-equal government branches and a Supreme Court, whereas the world’s richest man is bound by nothing. It’s stupid and irresponsible of him to spaz out and accuse Trump of corruption and ties to Epstein etc now like a full blown leftist. What the hell man, control your emotions. And it’s more than a little suspicious that this all goes down just a week or two after Elon joins the black-eye club (if you know you know).
