58 year old charged in relation to the incident
A 69 year-old man has died in Mangere East as a result of an assault in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police were called to the victim’s home and found him suffering from life-threatening wounds. He was taken to Middlemore Hospital where he passed away later that day.
A 58 year-old has been charged with Wounding with Intent in relation to the incident and is due to appear in the Manukau District Court shortly.
The police investigation continues.
