Police have identified the victims of a suspicious house fire in Bucklands Beach, Auckland, as 36-year-old Jung Sup Lee and his 11-year-old son, Ha-il Lee.
The blaze broke out on Murvale Drive about 2.30am on 2 October and is being investigated as a double homicide under ‘Operation Town’.
Detective Inspector Tofilau Faamanuia Va’aelua urged residents in nearby suburbs, including Howick and Botany Downs, to share any CCTV, dash cam, or GoPro footage from between 10pm on 1 October and 5am on 2 October, stressing that no detail is too small.
Two other people injured in the fire have since been discharged from hospital as police continue efforts to identify those responsible.
