Zuru has launched a civil lawsuit in the High Court at Auckland, claiming tens of millions in losses after former business partner Grant Taylor allegedly breached confidentiality and restraint provisions tied to Zuru’s $30 million acquisition of the Rascals nappy brand.
The dispute, stemming from a collapsed friendship and business relationship between Zuru co-founder Nick Mowbray and Taylor, centres on claims Taylor shared sensitive information with JJK Group, which later acquired rival brand Treasures.
Taylor and other defendants deny all allegations and are mounting a defence, with a four-week trial now underway.
